Free iPad Listing Presentation/Video
If you have a new iPad you may want to download the latest listing presentation/marketing proposal from Realtor.com . This presentation is built in “Keynote” which is the Apple presentation software (similar in function to MS PowerPoint) so you will need to have the Keynote for iPad application which you can download here or just visit the app store from your iPad or from iTunes on your computer. Note if you already have a MacBook you view/edit use this presentation in Keynote on your MacBook as well.
If you are wondering what this looks like here’s small video file of what the presentation looks like.
Please click the video to advance through the slides
Before you start I would recommend watching the guided video tours Apple has for the iPad here (especially the Keynote Video) and also here’s a link to some great help tips on using Keynote on the iPad. The presentation is designed for you to customize by entering your information such as name, contact info, logo and agent photo etc. All of this editing can be done on your iPad within the Keynote Application so play around a bit and make this into something you feel will work best for you.
I truly believe the iPad can be a powerful tool in real estate in many areas starting with showing potential home sellers that you are leveraging today’s technology by using this vs. a “listing book” with printed pages at your next listing appointment. It takes practice so make sure you have not only done the editing to make this presentation personal but also feel free to add some additional pages as you see fit. I would also practice getting in and out of the presentation so you can stop in the middle for example and open up your web browser showing your website and how you promote YOUR listings etc. Another tip is to create a “New Folder” within the Safari (web browser) called “Listing Appt” and inside that folder save several bookmarks that you can easily access in front of a seller such as your website, a link to your Facebook Fan page or Facebook Neighborhood Page, links to your company website, links to your listings on Realtor.com, links to any other online marketing tools you use such as craigslist etc. This will help you quickly show home sellers in real time what you will do to leverage the Internet to sell their home. Again practice, practice, practice, you want to come across as confident while using this device and this happens when you actually have used it numerous times and feel comfortable with what will happen next. While you practice pretend to be showing someone else as it will look and feel different when you present with the iPad facing your clients (don’t worry you’ll adapt fast you have practice reading contracts upside down already:-).
Also right before you walk in the house I would test the 3G connection (assuming most of you will get the iPad with 3G which is what I recommend) make sure your bookmarks load correctly, if not due to weak signal etc you will know to NOT go live on the Internet during your presentation (always be prepared to present with or without an Internet connection).
Ok so below I have posted a couple of videos I made for those that need some step-by-step help getting the file into your iPad and then some instruction on editing the file after you get it on your iPad. Please feel free to watch as often as you like and you can fast forward and go back as necessary. I real look forward to hearing your success stories of using this listing presentation with home sellers and will start featuring a few agents in my session across the country that are utilizing the latest tech tools for real estate so please make a comment below with your experiences if you’d like to be featured.
Best of luck to you…….

We run an internet-based real estate brokerage at the world’s most famous residential airpark, Spruce Creek Fly-In. In a short time, thanks to our technology, we became the leader in a very crowded field. We are considering migrating to the iPad as standard tool while on the road. I find that the iPhone apps resolution is too low for the iPad, but the ability to display web sites in a size you can actually read more than makes up for it.
I do wish it had a USB Port – Oh think of the possibilities!
